ibuuu... haha. gempa di padang kan. di singapur emang terasa gempanya.. tadi siang goyang dikit tuh gedung kantor, tp dikiiiiit banget, ampir ga terasa. cuma yakin aja soalnya lampu dan air minum semuanya bergoyang selama bbrp DETIK hehehe..

last night i went to check on Uni of Notre Dame.. i think i told you about it, didnt i? the catholic U in indiana. any way! they have a School of Architect, and the junior year of the bachelor degree programme is spent in ROMEEEE. so cool):. but the tuition's fee is US$40K+ per annum. hic hic.....):
my work today is very slack. just doing photoshop rendering of a floorplan. so much time that i had time to experiment with the different functions in the filter gallery to get the best rendering effect! hehe.. the best part of work today is when this honkie/australian fresh grad came in for a job interview and showed us her portfolio which is very interesting(:.

today i totally 'died' after lunch. my brain died, i mean. i felt very tired and couldnt bring myself to want to do any work, so i was just browsing through many books. nothing urgent any way, so it's okay. my boss' wife was telling us how some people Poison trees so that they can remove them from their land although they are on the list of Protected Trees by the NParks. they will poison the trees then the trees will DIE and look so terrible they look like they're going to fall any time, and then these Evil People will apply to the NParks for permission to remove them by saying that the trees are dangerous):. poor trees. i love trees. although i don't like The Jungle (which is a section of mount faber park i usually have to walk through to get to the office from the bus stop) because the slope is so steep.
so i was so tired when i got home there was only 1 thing in my mind: SLEEP. i slept on the bus, and when i got home i washed my face and took out my lenses and stole a pillow from somewhere and changed my shirt and plopped and died on the living room bed.
today isn't so bad, actually. not as mundane as yesterday because my colleague brought us to see her new but not yet renovated flat cos she's just got the keys. so it's not staying-in-the-office-all-day kind of day. and i learned something new - was introduced to the Work Schedule that shows the different stages in running a project. and i got an AutoCAD assignment that i like cos what little bit of AutoCAD skills i have is rusting away after a month of not using the programme. i have to do a kitchen's elevation drawings and in the process design the kitchen too! it'd most likely be changed cos it depends on what client wants and because my colleague would have the last say on the design but it's just so fun to do.:) i flipped through a book called KITCHEN and a mayer catalogue to take a look at the different hobs and hoods and ovens.:p

do you know, up to 10:30AM today, i didn't know today is friday! i thought it's thursday. the thought 'second last day of work for this week' kept running in my mind. that is, until my colleague came in the office with a Luggage. so i asked her why she was dragging a Luggage. and she replied that after work she's going for a church retreat from friday (night) to sunday. so i was rather startled and asked, "you're not going to work tomorrow?" then She gave me a startled look and asked, "tomorrow is saturday, right?" and then we were both startled and looked at the clock with the date (which i like cos it's cool with the date and the month and the day and all). and hence i realised that it is indeed friday.
